Fanatics Betting & Gaming, the online and retail sports betting subsidiary of Fanatics, is seeking a Senior Manager of Strategy & Operations to work directly with VIP leadership on customer acquisition, loyalty growth, and retention of high-value customers.
This is an end-to-end strategy and operations role focused on owning outcomes from strategy design through execution to measurable results. You will leverage AI and technology as core working tools to build experiences that drive top customers to choose Fanatics over competitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Partner directly with VIP leadership to define and execute strategy for acquiring, growing loyalty of, and retaining top-tier customers
- Run concurrent projects spanning analysis, strategy, partnerships, and hands-on build work, shifting priorities as needed
- Own outcomes end-to-end: from strategy design through execution through measurable results
- Learn the business deeply and understand what drives customer behavior to shape product and strategy decisions
- Use AI and technology to build models, analyses, and workflows that improve how the VIP team identifies, engages, and serves high-value customers
- Work cross-functionally with Data, Product, Engineering, and Marketing to ship VIP initiatives
- Operate within a highly regulated environment with sound judgment on responsible gaming considerations
About Fanatics Betting & Gaming: Launched in 2021, the division operates the Fanatics Sportsbook (available to 95% of the addressable US online sports bettor market) and Fanatics Casino (available in Michigan, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and West Virginia). The team operates 22 retail sports betting locations, including the only sportsbook inside an NFL stadium. Headquartered in New York with offices in Denver, Leeds, and Dublin.
Requirements:
- 5-8 years of experience with a technical or engineering-adjacent background
- AI-native: daily use of AI tools with demonstrated personal builds or shipped projects with measurable outcomes, not just tool usage
- Comfortable with ambiguity, moving fast, and making decisions with incomplete information in high-growth environments
- Ability to move fluidly across analytical, operational, relationship-driven, and technical work; prioritize competing demands and follow through to completion
- Proven ability to drive outcomes across teams without formal authority through persistence, relationship-building, and clear prioritization
- Bias toward speed and execution: removes blockers and keeps initiatives moving even when the path isn't fully defined
- Data fluency: understands systems and data structures; SQL or Python experience required, not just reliance on AI-generated answers
- Excellent communicator comfortable working directly with senior leadership
- Demonstrated ability to scope problems and strategy, not just execute specs; identifies what matters to end users or business before building
