Quince is a Series D-funded direct-to-consumer retail company founded in 2018 that disrupts traditional retail by offering high-quality essentials at low prices through a manufacturer-to-consumer model. The company uses AI, analytics, and automation to minimize waste and maximize value while maintaining sustainable and ethical production practices.
You will be the Senior Manager of Global Communications, reporting directly to the Head of Brand Strategy & Narrative. This is a foundational role where you will own Quince's entire communications function with full autonomy to shape how the market understands the company during a critical growth phase.
Key responsibilities include:
- Developing and executing a proactive global media strategy across business, retail, technology, and consumer press
- Translating Quince's manufacturer-to-consumer model into compelling narratives that drive coverage and market understanding
- Building relationships with key journalists and media outlets
- Crafting the company's external storytelling and positioning
- Managing crisis communications and reputation
- Collaborating with leadership to identify and amplify key company moments and milestones
- Developing thought leadership opportunities for executives
This role requires someone who understands that great communications is about shaping long-term market perception through strategic storytelling, not just issuing announcements. You will operate at a strategic level while maintaining excellence in execution and craft. The ideal candidate has deep experience in B2C or retail communications, understands how to build media relationships, and can translate complex business models into compelling narratives that resonate with journalists and consumers.
