Candescent is a fintech company transforming how financial institutions deliver intelligent banking experiences through digital banking, account opening, and branch solutions. The company combines human-centered design with data, automation, and cloud-based innovation on an API-first architecture.
You will lead area sales efforts responsible for revenue generation through new client acquisition and expansion of existing relationships. You will generate leads, develop executive-level relationships, drive new business opportunities, and support account growth by demonstrating how Candescent helps financial institutions ($5B–$100B in assets) achieve digital banking and business transformation goals.
Key responsibilities include developing and qualifying leads within assigned territory; executing strategic sales campaigns; navigating prospective customers through vendor due diligence, procurement, contracting, and negotiation; negotiating and closing software, services, and subscription agreements; engaging cross-functional resources (Sales, Solution Consulting, Product, Delivery, Customer Success, Executive Leadership) to advance opportunities; driving executive-level engagement and building trusted advisor relationships; ensuring successful handoff to Delivery and Customer Success teams post-contract; remaining actively engaged with customer stakeholders as a customer advocate; collaborating with Customer Success and Delivery teams to identify expansion opportunities within existing accounts; maintaining accurate forecasts and pipeline records in CRM tools; and representing Candescent at industry conferences, trade shows, and executive meetings.
You will have 7+ years of successful enterprise software, SaaS, fintech, or banking technology sales experience with a demonstrated track record of achieving and exceeding revenue targets. You have experience selling complex technology solutions to financial institutions, including executive-level stakeholders at banks and credit unions. You can develop, manage, and close opportunities through the entire sales cycle, from prospecting through contract negotiation. You have built and maintained executive relationships with C-suite, line-of-business, and digital banking leaders. You possess strong consultative selling, negotiation, presentation, and business development skills, with demonstrated success creating and managing qualified pipelines and maintaining accurate forecasts in CRM systems. You are organized and skilled at managing multiple opportunities and priorities simultaneously. You have excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills and can work independently in a fast-paced, high-growth, private equity-backed environment. You are willing and able to travel throughout the United States as needed.
Preferred qualifications include experience selling digital banking, account opening, lending, payments, or other fintech solutions; familiarity with banking operations, digital transformation initiatives, and regulatory considerations; and experience selling into community banks, regional banks, and credit unions.
