Hudl is seeking a Senior Legal Counsel to serve as a key legal partner across the company's global business. You will minimize risk, drive deals forward, and translate complex legal questions into clear, actionable guidance for leadership and internal teams. Key responsibilities include: • Lead legal specialties in functional areas such as privacy, intellectual property, employment, or M&A, building scalable policies that balance legal protection with business objectives. • Serve as a versatile generalist across multiple legal domains—vendor contracts, sales agreements, data protection, and more—while managing competing priorities effectively. • Provide strategic legal advice to leadership by researching risk factors and translating complex legal issues into actionable guidance for non-lawyers. • Negotiate and draft complex agreements, build relationships with external parties and regulators, and train internal teams on legal best practices. The role is based in Lincoln, Nebraska with an expectation to spend more days in-office than remote. You will have flexibility to coordinate your specific in-office schedule with your team, though regular in-office collaboration is a core part of how the team works. Hudl is a sports technology company that helps teams capture video, analyze data, and share highlights. The company was recognized as one of Newsweek's Top 100 Global Most Loved Workplaces and emphasizes a culture of autonomy, professional development, and work-life harmony. Requirements: • Admitted to practice law in your jurisdiction with at least six years of experience at a law firm or as in-house counsel. • Strong project management mindset—you build scalable processes and templates that help the company move faster, not just spot problems. • Technical curiosity and strong understanding of how legal principles apply to modern SaaS businesses; comfortable using Microsoft Office and similar tools. • Elite communication skills with exceptional writing ability and capacity to coach and mentor junior staff and non-attorney colleagues. Nice-to-haves: • Experience navigating the legal landscape of a high-growth technology company. • Global perspective with experience working with international teams or coordinating with local counsel across different geographic regions.
