Life360 is seeking an Associate Legal Counsel, Product & Privacy, Ads to join its expanding legal team. Life360 is a consumer mobile app and hardware company serving 102.4 million monthly active users across 180+ countries, offering location sharing, safe driver reports, crash detection with emergency dispatch, and pet GPS tracking services. The company is remote-first with 500+ employees.
In this role, you will serve as the primary legal point of contact for the Ads business, counseling product, engineering, and marketing teams on privacy, consumer protection, and content regulation matters in the ad-tech space. You will advise on the Life360 Ads Platform, which includes an SSP and DSP business among other products. Your responsibilities include:
- Advising ads engineering and product teams on legal and regulatory issues throughout the product development lifecycle
- Providing counsel on privacy and data protection matters related to ad tech, ensuring compliance with GDPR, CCPA, and other regulations
- Advising on content regulation matters, including ads content policies and enforcement
- Advising on marketing matters related to the B2B ads business
- Monitoring and providing guidance on evolving international privacy, consumer protection, and technology regulations in ad-tech
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to develop and implement risk management strategies
You will report to the Deputy General Counsel for Product & Privacy and collaborate closely with Ads, Finance, Product, Privacy, Engineering, Devices, Marketing, Communications, and Infrastructure teams.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 5+ years of legal experience in product counseling and privacy counseling in the ad-tech space, including direct experience advising software product managers and engineers
- J.D. from an accredited law school and membership in at least one state bar
- Experience advising software product managers and engineers on consumer protection matters
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment
- CIPP/US certification preferred
