The Employment Law team is a specialist division within LEAP focused on building software for employment lawyers. This is a cross-functional team of legal professionals, software engineers, designers, and client-focused specialists working together to deliver practical products used daily by law firms practicing in employment law. You will join as the Employment Law team's Forms Designer, responsible for ensuring legal forms and precedents are current, compliant, and legally appropriate. Your role is to create and maintain automated forms and precedents that make everyday work easier for employment lawyers. Key responsibilities include: - Create, update, and maintain automated employment law forms and precedents - Research official forms and procedural information, working with legal specialists to understand and implement required updates - Format and proofread documents to maintain accuracy, consistency, and professional presentation - Use LEAP's automation tools to populate documents with information recorded in legal matters - Review feedback from clients and colleagues, investigate issues, and contribute to improvements - Learn to use JavaScript to support dynamic document content and automation (training provided) - Test automated documents, including data fields, conditional content, and formatting - Collaborate with clients and internal teams to improve employment law content and matter types - Share knowledge and support colleagues across Content teams You will receive a structured training program and ongoing guidance from the Content Manager and content specialists to help you transition into the role and build confidence using content and automation tools. Requirements: - 3-5 years' experience supporting a legal practice - Strong Microsoft Word skills and enjoyment of formatting and working with documents - Familiarity with legal documents through preparing, formatting, proofreading, filing, or supporting their use in practice - Understanding of the parties, information, and processes involved in legal matters - Interest in technology and enthusiasm for learning new systems and developing technical skills Highly regarded: - Experience supporting an employment or workplace law practice - Familiarity with Fair Work Commission forms and processes - Familiarity with employment contracts, workplace policies, correspondence, settlement documents, and court or tribunal forms - Experience using LEAP, other legal practice management software, or document automation tools
