Robinhood is seeking a Chief Compliance Officer to lead the Risk & Compliance team in the United Kingdom. This is a C-suite role reporting to senior leadership, responsible for overseeing the firm's entire compliance framework and serving as the primary regulatory contact with the FCA and other authorities. Key Responsibilities: - Oversee and maintain the firm's compliance framework in accordance with FCA rules and applicable legislation - Monitor regulatory developments and assess their impact on the business - Develop and deliver the annual Compliance Monitoring Plan and ensure timely remediation of identified issues - Provide practical regulatory advice to senior management on investments, crypto products, business initiatives, and associated regulatory obligations - Act as primary contact for the FCA and other relevant regulatory bodies - Own Consumer Duty oversight - Oversee financial crime and AML frameworks in coordination with the MLRO - Identify and assess risks with the first line of defence - Review financial promotions, website content, and marketing communications for FCA compliance - Chair the Risk & Compliance Committee - Provide training, guidance, and independent investigation of compliance matters to lead the UK Risk & Compliance team - Set and promote the firm's core values, risk culture, and risk appetite at Board level You will hold the FCA Senior Management Function SMF16 (Compliance Oversight), providing independent challenge as the second line of defence. The role requires 5 days per week in-person attendance at the London office. Requirements: - Based in the United Kingdom - Degree or equivalent practical experience - 10+ years of previous regulatory compliance experience within a relevant FCA-regulated firm - Approval as, or ability to obtain approval for, the FCA Senior Management Function SMF16 - Strong working knowledge of the FCA Handbook, Consumer Duty, UK Money Laundering Regulations, and SM&CR - Experience managing FCA Supervisory and Authorisations interactions and regulatory reporting - Strong analytical, organisational, and communication skills - Pragmatic and risk-based approach to compliance - Exceptional attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills - Experience working in international team environments across large projects with multiple work streams and coordinating cross-functional teams - Knowledge and demonstrable use of AI
