Salary: USD 135,000 - 145,000 / annual

Skylo has pioneered standards-based satellite connectivity, connecting smartphones and IoT devices directly to satellites with no special hardware required. The company's direct-to-device service is live on millions of activated devices across five continents, covering more than 72 million square kilometers in partnership with leading satellite operators, mobile network operators, Tier-1 chipset makers, and OEMs worldwide. You will serve as the operational engine of Skylo's legal function, running day-to-day legal operations with a focus on process, systems, and enabling the business to move fast. This is a hands-on operations role, not a research role. Key responsibilities include: - Own and administer Skylo's legal intake tool (Streamline) end to end, including triage, prioritization, SLA enforcement, form configuration, and routing rule management - Run the complete contract lifecycle: prepare and populate templates (NDAs, DPAs, vendor agreements, SOWs, amendments), route for review and approval, manage DocuSign signature workflows, confirm execution, and maintain the contract repository - Serve as owner of signature workflows, verifying signatory authority, building and sending envelopes, tracking status, and maintaining the signature authority matrix - Maintain the contract repository as the single source of truth with consistent naming, complete metadata, correct permissions, and no orphaned drafts - Build and maintain legal trackers covering matter status, contract pipeline, renewal calendars, obligations, outside counsel spend, and compliance deadlines; produce recurring reporting on volume, cycle time, and bottlenecks - Maintain corporate records across Skylo's US and international entities, including board and stockholder minutes, written consents, organizational documents, minute books, registered agent coordination, and annual reports - Build and continuously improve Skylo's legal knowledge base on Confluence, including playbooks, template libraries, FAQs, and self-service resources - Map existing legal processes, identify friction points, and redesign them; automate handoffs and retire manual steps - Maintain the IP docket in coordination with outside counsel, covering patent and trademark deadlines, prosecution status, and invention disclosure tracking - Support recurring compliance obligations including DPA and privacy paperwork, vendor questionnaires, policy attestations, insurance certificates, and audit requests - Act as the operational interface to outside counsel and legal vendors, handling engagement letters, conflict checks, matter budgets, invoice review, and spend reporting - Assemble and maintain diligence data rooms for financing and partnership processes; support legal holds, document collection, and records retention - Collaborate daily with Sales, Business Development, Procurement, Finance, People Ops, Engineering, and Network Operations across Mountain View, Espoo, and India REQUIREMENTS: - Bachelor's degree or paralegal certificate; ABA-approved paralegal program, NALA (CP/ACP) or NFPA (RP) certification preferred - 5+ years of paralegal or legal operations experience, with meaningful time in-house at a technology company; law firm corporate or commercial experience valued but role is operational and in-house in character - Demonstrated ownership of a legal intake, matter management, or contract lifecycle management platform (Streamline, Ironclad, LinkSquares, Agiloft, Evisort, SimpleLegal or similar strongly preferred), including configuration, administration, and adoption driving - Hands-on experience running signature workflows at volume in DocuSign or Adobe Sign, including template and envelope configuration and signature authority verification - Working familiarity with commercial contracts (NDAs, vendor agreements, DPAs, SOWs, order forms, amendments) and judgment to prepare routine documents from playbooks and escalate appropriately - Experience maintaining corporate records and entity management for multi-entity, multi-jurisdiction companies, including board consents, minute books, and annual filings - Strong systems fluency across Google Workspace, Confluence, Jira, DocuSign, and e-billing tools, with comfort building trackers, dashboards, and lightweight automations - Exceptional organization and attention to detail with proven record of managing high-volume queues against deadlines - Clear, concise written communication and professional judgment to handle confidential and privileged information with discretion - Comfort operating in fast-moving company where processes do not fully exist yet, building them as you go - Experience supporting satellite, telecommunications, IoT, semiconductor, or other technology and hardware businesses is a plus; exposure to privacy, export control, IP docketing, or equity administration is a plus - Ability to collaborate across US, European, and Indian time zones with occasional flexibility for early or late calls
