Salary: USD 94,500 - 137,100 / annual
Moody's is seeking a Senior Associate in Account Management for its Public Finance division, based in New York. This role sits within the Commercial Group's MIS (Moody's Investors Service) business and focuses on managing client relationships in the public finance sector.
You will serve as a key point of contact for an assigned portfolio of customers, managing relationships, fee arrangements, and service delivery under the guidance of a regional account manager. Your responsibilities include supporting account management activities across local governments, housing authorities, charter schools, higher education institutions, healthcare organizations, and infrastructure entities.
Key responsibilities:
- Manage assigned customer relationships and serve as primary contact for fee management and service delivery
- Apply public finance sector knowledge to support client interactions and fee discussions
- Coordinate and prepare customer meetings, sourcing relevant materials
- Support fee negotiations and term arrangements while maintaining customer satisfaction
- Resolve customer inquiries independently, including data, billing, and invoice issues
- Liaise with internal teams (Sales Support, Operations, Billing, Collections) to resolve customer needs
- Maintain accurate customer agreements and fee information in internal systems
- Support the ratings application process and coordinate with business development teams
- Travel domestically approximately 20% of the time
Required qualifications:
- 2-4 years of relevant experience in financial services
- Solid working knowledge of capital markets
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under guidance
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint)
- Undergraduate degree or equivalent, preferably in finance, accounting, business, or economics
Preferred qualifications:
- Experience in public finance (local government, housing, education, healthcare, infrastructure)
- Salesforce or CRM platform experience
- Basic understanding of AI concepts and interest in responsible AI practices
Compensation: $94,500–$137,100 annually, plus incentive compensation and comprehensive benefits including medical, dental, vision, 401(k), parental leave, and tuition reimbursement.
