Coupa Software is seeking a Senior Accountant to join its Finance team in Pune. This role operates at the intersection of Finance, HR, and Compliance, managing complex payroll and financial accounting operations for a global organization.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage complex tax withholdings and financial accounting for salary, benefits, tax, severance, and pension across multiple jurisdictions
- Conduct month-over-month, quarter-over-quarter, and year-to-date flux analysis for P&L and balance sheet impact
- Ensure compliance with varying state, local, and international tax rules for US and international operations
- Prepare complex payroll journal entries and reconcile balance sheet accounts including accrued wages, bonus reserves, and tax liabilities
- Deliver audit-ready financial reports for SEC/SOX compliance and investor reviews
- Lead automation projects to reduce manual accounting tasks and improve efficiency
- Coordinate internal and external audits (401k, financial, workers' compensation, benefits)
- Partner cross-functionally with FP&A, HR, and other departments to support business operations
