Vega is a fast-growing cybersecurity startup building an AI-native platform for security operations and cyber defense teams. The company operates with headquarters in New York and Tel Aviv, serving some of the world's largest organizations.
As Senior Financial Controller, you will own the complete accounting function and report to the VP Finance. This is a hands-on role requiring prior experience running a controllership at a high-growth company.
Key responsibilities include:
• Own the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process, delivering accurate and timely financial statements
• Lead the annual audit process and manage relationships with external auditors
• Own tax compliance across jurisdictions, working with external advisors on corporate tax, VAT, sales tax, and withholding matters
• Oversee payroll and ensure compliance with local requirements
• Own the billing and collections cycle, including invoicing, accounts receivable, and cash application
• Own revenue recognition in accordance with ASC 606, including contract review and revenue accounting policies
• Build, document, and continuously improve accounting processes and internal controls suited to a scaling company
• Manage day-to-day accounting operations, including bookkeeping and finance operations
• Drive ERP and finance systems improvements to support business scale and complexity
• Partner with VP Finance on cash management, financial reporting to management and investors, and ad hoc projects
You will be the backbone of financial operations as the company scales, building processes that keep pace with rapid growth.
