HeartFlow is a publicly traded medical technology company (HTFL) pioneering AI-driven solutions for coronary artery disease diagnosis and management. The company's flagship product, HeartFlow FFR_CT Analysis, is a non-invasive cardiac test that provides 3D visualization of coronary arteries and blood flow assessment, supported by ACC/AHA guidelines. Used by over 500,000 patients globally and cleared in the US, UK, Europe, Japan, and Canada, HeartFlow is expanding its product pipeline and team.
This Specialty Sales Manager role combines business development and account management for the Northeast region, with responsibility for acquiring new accounts and driving adoption of HeartFlow's cardiovascular diagnostic technology within existing customers. The position is field-based with 60-80% travel across the region to customer sites, events, and meetings.
Key responsibilities include prospecting and closing new accounts across assigned geography; building and managing a robust sales pipeline from lead generation through contract closure; developing regional sales strategies targeting Primary Care, Holistic, Concierge, and Preventative Cardiology specialties; driving adoption and utilization of FFR_CT and cCTA pathways within key accounts; building long-term customer relationships; providing proactive support and education; and fostering clinical advocacy across specialty sites.
The role requires close collaboration with internal teams including Marketing, Market Access, CT Applications Specialists, Implementation Managers, Clinical, and Product Development to deliver excellent customer service. Responsibilities include organizing educational programs such as dinner events, CT pathway workshops, VIP visits, and referring physician meetings; collecting and sharing customer insights for product development; and maintaining accurate Salesforce reporting and forecasting.
Required qualifications include a Bachelor's degree (preferably in Science, Medical, Business, Marketing, or Technical field) and 5-8 years of healthcare sales experience, ideally in medical devices or cardiovascular sectors. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of sales success in healthcare/cardiology, strong experience introducing and scaling adoption of new technologies, ability to develop and support clinical programs, exceptional communication skills for explaining complex technologies to clinicians and decision-makers, strong relationship-building abilities with clinical/administrative/executive stakeholders, self-motivation, organizational skills, problem-solving ability, and CRM proficiency (Salesforce preferred).
