Pennylane is a high-growth French fintech (€400M raised, backed by Sequoia) building financial management and accounting software for European SMEs and accounting firms. The company has grown from 7 founders to 1,000 employees across 25 countries in 5 years, with 900,000+ SMEs and 6,000+ accounting firms using the platform.
As an Accounting Support Specialist, you will be a core member of the technical and accounting support team, serving as the central point of contact between business owners, their in-house accountants, and accounting firms. You will investigate client issues, provide solutions, and escalate to technical teams when needed. You'll also help accountants migrate and integrate their data into Pennylane.
In your first three months, you'll complete the Pennylane Academy, learn the product deeply, understand company vision and departments, and begin handling accounting-related support requests with guidance. By months 4-6, you'll work independently managing tickets through resolution, handle increasingly complex client requests, contribute to help documentation, share accounting expertise with colleagues, and relay customer insights to the product team.
Longer term, you'll become a product expert, drive team efficiency improvements, lead impactful projects, and have opportunities to move into account management, implementation leadership, or specialized support roles.
You'll work fully remote with flexible arrangements, based in Saint Brieuc or anywhere in the EU. The role requires accounting training (BTS CGO, DCG, BTS assistant de gestion PME-PMI, Master CCA, or equivalent), minimum 3 years in an accounting firm (ideally covering multiple fiscal periods), and comfort with innovative tools and technology. Direct experience advising business owners is a plus, as is familiarity with Pennylane.
