Pennylane is a high-growth French fintech (€400M raised, backed by Sequoia) building the preferred financial management software for European SMEs. The company helps entrepreneurs and accounting firms automate repetitive financial tasks while providing actionable insights for better decision-making.
As an Accounting Support Specialist, you will be a core member of the technical and accounting support team, serving as the central point of contact between client executives, in-house accountants, and accounting firms. You will investigate client issues, provide solutions, and escalate to technical teams when needed. You'll also support accountants in migrating their data to Pennylane.
In your first three months, you'll complete the Pennylane Academy, learn the product deeply, understand the company's vision and departments, and begin handling accounting-related support requests with guidance. By months 4-6, you'll gain autonomy managing tickets end-to-end, handle increasingly complex client requests, contribute to help documentation, share accounting expertise with colleagues, and relay customer feedback to the product team.
Long-term, you'll become a product expert, identify process improvements, lead impactful projects, and have opportunities to move into account management or customer implementation roles.
Required: accounting background (BTS CGO, DCG, BTS assistant de gestion PME-PMI, Master CCA, or equivalent Bachelor); minimum 3 years in an accounting firm (ideally covering three fiscal periods); direct experience working with business owners is a plus; comfort with innovative tools and new technologies; strong problem-solving and autonomy; knowledge of Pennylane is a plus.
