Pennylane is a high-growth French fintech (€400M raised, backed by Sequoia) building the preferred financial management software for European SMEs. The company helps entrepreneurs automate accounting and finance tasks while providing actionable financial insights, and supports accounting firms by reducing repetitive work and enabling advisory focus.
As an Accounting Support Specialist, you will be a core member of the technical and accounting support team, serving as the central liaison between SME leaders, their in-house accountants, and accounting firms. You will be the primary point of contact for customers using Pennylane as their central accounting and financial management platform, investigating issues, providing solutions, and escalating to technical teams when needed. You will also help accountants migrate and integrate their data into Pennylane.
In your first three months, you will complete the Pennylane Academy, master the product and company vision, learn to identify stakeholders and collaborate across departments, and begin handling accounting-related support requests with deep understanding of accounting principles.
From months 4-6, you will gain autonomy managing tickets end-to-end, handle increasingly complex client requests, contribute to creating and updating customer help resources, share accounting expertise with teammates, and relay customer insights to the product team.
Longer term, you will become a product expert, identify team efficiency improvements, and lead impactful projects. Future growth paths include specialized support roles, account management, or customer implementation leadership.
Required: accounting background (BTS CGO, DCG, BTS PME-PMI assistant, Master CCA, or equivalent Bachelor); minimum 3 years in an accounting firm (ideally covering three full fiscal periods); direct experience working with business leaders is a plus; comfort with innovative tools and new technologies; strong autonomy and problem-solving skills; Pennylane product knowledge is a plus.
