This emerging specialist seller role reports to a Product Specialist - Sales Director and is part of a team aligned by segment and product. You will focus on Samsara's Connected Maintenance offering, driving growth through strategic, high-value deal execution with public sector (SLED) customers. Key responsibilities include co-developing the emerging product pipeline with account executives across major public sector accounts, driving pilot strategy and success metrics for early adoption, and owning executive-level discovery and storytelling for new SKUs. You will partner cross-functionally with GTM and Product teams to feed back customer insights and shape the product roadmap.
You will develop executive-level relationships within strategic named accounts, drive maintenance sales cycles end-to-end from prospecting through close, and demonstrate excellent solution-based sales processes in complex campaigns. A critical part of the role is building frameworks, assets, and insights that scale across the broader sales organization, positioning you as a thought leader and enabler for other account executives.
The ideal candidate brings 5+ years of complex, full-cycle enterprise solution sales experience with a proven track record of consistent quota over-achievement in deals valued at $500k+ ARR. You must have direct experience working with line-of-business stakeholders in SLED/Government entities and be comfortable with strategic outbound prospecting. Strong interpersonal skills, excellent communication, customer instincts, and demonstrated entrepreneurial spirit are essential. Bonus qualifications include overlay or new product launch experience, experience influencing GTM strategy with Product and Marketing, ability to operate in strategic partnership with senior AEs, and comfort presenting to C-suite executives.
