Salary: GBP 56,100 - 75,900 / annual

Monzo is seeking a Cost Performance & Analytics Specialist to lead the Cost Efficiency Team's digital transformation and help build scalable processes, governance, and automation to support the company's next stage of growth. In this role, you will own the continuous improvement of finance processes, governance, and operating models across Monzo's cost base. Rather than producing month-end reporting yourself, you'll improve how Finance delivers it. You'll work across Finance, Data, Technology, and the business to enhance planning, reporting, and governance while delivering the Finance transformation roadmap. Key responsibilities include: • Building the future Finance operating model by redesigning processes, governance, and ways of working so Finance scales efficiently as Monzo grows • Leading Finance transformation initiatives from conception through implementation, delivering measurable improvements to efficiency, controls, and stakeholder experience • Eliminating manual work through automation by partnering with Finance Data and Technology teams to streamline planning, reporting, and governance processes • Designing simple, well-controlled Finance processes that are easy to follow, consistently applied, and meet Internal Audit and regulatory expectations • Owning Finance's model and process documentation and standards, ensuring policies, SOPs, and process maps remain accurate and accessible • Driving continuous improvement using data to identify process bottlenecks, measure performance through KPIs, and implement practical solutions • Partnering across Finance, Data, Technology, and the wider business to understand challenges, influence priorities, and deliver lasting value • Improving the quality of Finance data and planning models by working with Finance Systems and Data teams to strengthen governance and reporting accuracy • Managing the Finance change portfolio, coordinating multiple improvement initiatives, tracking delivery, and managing risks • Helping build a culture of operational excellence by coaching colleagues on best practice and embedding standard ways of working You should have Finance transformation experience with a proven track record of leading cross-functional change, process improvement expertise, project and change management skills, an automation and technology mindset, and strong stakeholder management and communication abilities.
