Zscaler is seeking a Data Security Specialist Account Executive to drive growth of its Data Protection business across India. This hybrid role, based in Bangalore/Gurgaon/Mumbai and reporting to the Regional Sales Director, focuses on identifying, developing, and closing Data Loss Prevention (DLP) and broader data security opportunities within enterprise and strategic accounts.
You will serve as the regional subject-matter expert on data protection technologies including inline DLP, endpoint DLP, CASB, SaaS security posture, email DLP, GenAI security, and data security posture management (DSPM). Your responsibilities include owning the data security specialist quota for India, executing a territory plan to grow DLP and data protection pipeline and bookings alongside core sales teams, and acting as a trusted advisor to CISOs, CIOs, and data protection leaders on data security strategy and regulatory drivers such as the DPDP Act and RBI guidelines.
Key activities include leading discovery and business value assessments, driving proof-of-value engagements in partnership with Sales Engineering, running internal enablement for core Account Executives and channel partners, and representing the data security portfolio at industry events and forums.
You bring 8+ years of enterprise software sales experience with at least 3 years selling data security solutions (DLP, CASB, DSPM, data classification, insider risk, or adjacent technologies). You have a proven track record of quota overachievement in the enterprise market, operating in overlay, specialist, or new-business hunting capacity. You possess strong domain credibility to discuss data protection architectures, data flows, classification strategies, and compliance requirements with technical and executive audiences. Experience navigating complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles in enterprise sectors such as BFSI, IT/ITES, pharma, or manufacturing is essential, along with familiarity with regulatory frameworks driving data protection investment in India.
