Synthesia, a $4B AI video platform used by 90% of the Fortune 100, is seeking a Solutions Engineering Manager to lead and scale the presales function in London. This is a founding leadership role reporting to the VP of Solutions Engineering, where you'll build and manage a team of 5–10 Solutions Engineers across experience levels while staying hands-on on high-impact deals. You will own full team success: hiring, ramping, and developing Solutions Engineers; running 1:1s and deal reviews; and fostering a collaborative culture. You'll execute Synthesia's core presales motions—research, discovery, demos, workshops, Proofs of Concept, and champion building—with consistency across your team. You'll design and evolve the demo methodology across Studio, Roleplay Sessions, and Interactive Avatars to prove business value quickly. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining the presales toolkit with product and operations teams, evangelizing AI tools to improve win rates and deal size, and partnering with Enablement and senior SEs in other markets to share best practices. You'll own forecasting, pipeline hygiene, and performance reporting; partner with Sales leadership on account and territory strategy; and bring visibility to deal risk, timeline, and technical dependencies. You'll route field feedback, product gaps, and competitive intelligence up to Product, Product Marketing, and SE leadership. You'll design and evolve demo methodology, coach SEs at every level using MEDDPICC and Command of the Message frameworks, and deliver Proofs of Concept and executive readouts as business narratives. You're comfortable holding the room with C-level audiences and translating between deep technical detail and executive-level value. You bring experience recruiting, managing, and developing Solutions Engineering presales teams; owning the full employee life cycle from hiring through promotions; and improving team performance through coaching and consistent execution. Your path to leadership evolved from executing straightforward opportunities to solving complex problems with product partners, building deep expertise in a specific business area. You're fluent in MEDDPICC and Command of the Message, a clear and inclusive communicator, and comfortable partnering with Sales, Product, Customer Success, and Product Marketing as peers. The role is hybrid (2–3 days per week in the London office) with 60 days of "work from anywhere" annually.
