Salary: USD 132,000 - 182,000 / annual
Okta is seeking an Associate Solutions Engineer to support the sales process by demonstrating how modern identity solutions solve real business challenges. You'll work closely with Account Executives, Customer Success, and Engineering teams to deliver technical expertise throughout the customer journey—from discovery through proof-of-concept—while building foundational expertise in Identity and Access Management (IAM).
In this role, you will partner with Account Executives to support technical discovery, product demonstrations, and proof-of-concepts. You'll demonstrate identity solutions including Single Sign-On (SSO), Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), and lifecycle management. You'll build and customize demo applications and integrations using JavaScript and Python, help customers evaluate and implement identity solutions with API and third-party service integrations, and translate complex identity and security concepts into clear, business-focused messaging for diverse audiences.
Additional responsibilities include supporting RFPs/RFIs, responding to technical questions during the sales cycle, and collaborating with Product and Engineering teams to relay customer feedback and improve offerings.

REQUIREMENTS:
- 2–3 years of professional experience in a technical, customer-facing, or pre-sales role
- Hands-on development experience with JavaScript and/or Python
- Experience working directly with customers (technical support, implementation, consulting, or sales engineering)
- Strong communication and presentation skills, with ability to explain technical topics to diverse audiences
- Ability to quickly learn new technologies and adapt in a fast-paced environment
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Familiarity with identity platforms such as Okta or Auth0
- Understanding of identity standards and protocols (OAuth 2.0, OpenID Connect, SAML)
- Basic knowledge of cybersecurity principles, particularly around authentication and access control
- Experience working with REST APIs, webhooks, and system integrations
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
