Verkada is seeking a Solutions Engineer in Sydney to serve as a trusted technical advisor for enterprise customers. You'll partner directly with Account Executives to expand Verkada's footprint into Fortune 500 companies, working with CTOs, CISOs, IT Executives, Security Engineers, and Network Engineers.
Key responsibilities include:
- Acting as the technical subject matter expert and trusted advisor to key customer stakeholders
- Analyzing customer business and technical requirements to design system solutions
- Collaborating with the Sales team to qualify opportunities and translate business needs into technical specifications
- Leading product demonstrations and delivering tailored presentations to technical and non-technical audiences
- Overcoming technical objections and assisting customers in designing Verkada product deployments
- Providing technical support to territory account representatives
- Collaborating with Product, Support, Marketing, and Enablement teams
- Approximately 30% travel required
Required qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related Engineering field
- Solid understanding of TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLANs, and L2 devices
- Outstanding written and verbal communication skills with strong presentation abilities
- Excellent account management, follow-through, and attention to detail
- Entrepreneurial mindset with strong desire to learn
Preferred experience:
- IT infrastructure and Linux operating systems
- APIs and coding languages (Python, etc.)
- Industry certifications (Network+, Security+, CCNA, AWS Solutions Architect)
Verkada is an AI-powered physical security platform serving 30,000+ customers including 100+ Fortune 500 companies. The role is based in Sydney with a requirement to be on-site 5 days per week. Candidates must be independently authorized to work in Australia.
