Salary: USD 107,000 - 155,000 / annual
Checkly is a Series B DevTools SaaS company building synthetic monitoring and end-to-end testing tools for developers. The platform enables developers and AI agents to own reliability through code-defined monitoring, powered by OpenTelemetry and Playwright, with customers including Mistral, resolve.ai, LinkedIn, Citi, and 1Password.
This Solutions Engineer role is a post-sales technical position focused on customer success and adoption. You will be the technical counterpart for customer accounts, owning the entire customer journey after the sale closes.
Key responsibilities:
- Own technical onboarding for new accounts, including implementation, configuration, and getting monitoring into production
- Run workshops and training sessions for customer engineering teams
- Provide technical support and drive adoption growth alongside the sales team
- Lead your own customer meetings, from deep technical dives to account check-ins
- Troubleshoot customer issues and help solve real reliability problems
- Contribute to technical documentation and internal playbooks
- Share customer learnings with Product Engineering and Marketing teams
- Speak directly with customers to understand their needs and challenges
You will work autonomously in an async environment while collaborating with a fast-growing international team. The role requires occasional travel to customer sites.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Approximately 2 years of experience in a post-sales technical role (solutions engineering, professional services, customer success engineering, technical account management, or similar)
- Hands-on experience with monitoring, observability, or automated testing
- Strong technical skills: ability to read, write, and debug code (JavaScript/Node.js preferred)
- Proficiency with AI tools (Claude Code, Codex, etc.) for customer-facing work—researching stacks, generating example code, building POC repos
- Genuine interest in direct customer engagement; comfortable running workshops, demos, and leading meetings
- Excellent spoken and written English
- Based in US Eastern Time zone
- Ability to travel occasionally to customers
- Startup experience helpful but not required
