As a Solutions Engineer based in Perth, you will be the trusted technical advisor to enterprise customers, partnering directly with Account Executives to expand Verkada's footprint upmarket. You'll work with CTOs, CISOs, IT Executives, Security Engineers, and Network Engineers to understand their technical and business requirements, design system solutions, and overcome technical objections.
Key responsibilities include:
- Serving as the technical subject matter expert and trusted advisor to key customer stakeholders
- Analyzing customer requirements and designing Verkada system solutions
- Collaborating with the Sales team to qualify opportunities and translate business needs into technical specifications
- Leading product demonstrations and delivering tailored presentations to technical and non-technical audiences
- Acting as the Verkada technical expert, collaborating with Product, Support, Marketing, and Enablement teams
- Approximately 25% travel may be required
You bring a Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related Engineering discipline. You demonstrate solid understanding of TCP/IP, TLS, DNS, DHCP, NAT, VLANs, and L2 devices. Outstanding written and verbal communication skills, effective presentation abilities, excellent account management, and attention to detail are essential. Experience with IT infrastructure, Linux operating systems, APIs, Python, and other coding languages is preferred. Industry certifications (Network+, Security+, CCNA, AWS Solutions Architect) are a plus.
The role is currently remote but requires candidates to be based in Perth, Western Australia. You must be independently authorized to work in Australia; visa sponsorship is not available.
