Okta is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join the Global Innovation Center Presales team in Bengaluru, India. This is a customer-facing presales role focused on identity and security solutions for commercial segments in the US market, ranging from digitally native startups to scaling SMBs.
You will support customers throughout their sales journey by delivering live demonstrations and sales presentations of Okta's identity and security technology. You'll sell directly to IT managers, developers, product managers, and senior executives across various industries, with a primary focus on Okta Workforce Identity solutions. Your responsibilities include modeling how Okta solutions support customers' current architecture requirements and use cases, executing well-defined proof-of-concept (POC) engagements, and maintaining a broad and deep technical understanding of the Okta product line and underlying technologies and protocols. You'll also occasionally participate in local and regional events as a presenter and attendee to evangelize Okta.
The role requires the ability to work in the EST time zone and is based in Bengaluru with an in-person onboarding experience. Okta emphasizes connection and innovation across its global community of over 20 offices worldwide.
REQUIREMENTS:
- Ability to work in EST time zone
- Minimum 5 years of working experience in IAM (Identity and Access Management) or related SaaS field as a presales engineer
- Expertise or hands-on experience in IAM, single sign-on (SSO), multi-factor authentication (MFA), passwordless authentication, universal directory, privileged access, and device access (preferred)
- Experience working with REST APIs and SDKs
- Ability to communicate complex ideas and solutions through white-boarding, practical examples, and product demonstrations
- Experience in customer-facing roles such as consulting, customer support, or presales
- Strong empathy, listening skills, and time management skills
