Snowflake is seeking a Solutions Engineer to support a named-account engagement with a strategically important global financial services customer. This role is embedded in the technical relationship from day one, supporting the full sales cycle and post-sale expansion through compelling demonstrations, proof of concept engagements, and technical credibility building.
You will work alongside an Account Executive and a Senior Solution Engineer, developing deep knowledge of the customer's data environment to uncover and progress new use cases across the organization. Key responsibilities include supporting end-to-end technical sales engagements from discovery through proof of concept delivery and technical close; building and delivering tailored demonstrations connecting Snowflake's platform capabilities to the customer's specific data challenges; designing and executing proof of concept engagements covering financial services use cases such as risk analytics, regulatory data platforms, fraud detection, customer intelligence, and AI/ML workloads; developing working knowledge of the customer's existing data architecture and technology stack; partnering with the Account Executive on deal activity, RFP responses, and technical blockers; coordinating with Professional Services, Support, and Product teams; and building strong relationships with the customer's data engineers, architects, and technical managers.
Ideal candidates bring 5+ years of pre-sales solution engineering, data engineering, or technical consulting experience in enterprise B2B technology with financial services exposure. Required skills include solid understanding of financial services data use cases (risk management, regulatory reporting, fraud analytics, customer data platforms); hands-on experience with cloud data platforms and ability to build and deliver live demonstrations; proficiency in SQL and Python with ability to write and debug scripts and build PoC pipelines; clear communication skills translating technical concepts for engineering and business audiences; ability to manage multiple workstreams within a single account; and genuine curiosity about AI and data technology with eagerness to develop expertise in Snowflake's Cortex AI capabilities.
