Grafana Labs is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join its Commercial Solutions Engineering team, which serves as the in-house, customer-facing product experts driving worldwide growth. The role is based remotely with a preference for candidates in the East Coast or Central US region.
You will partner closely with the Sales team to educate potential and existing customers on Grafana's observability platform, ensuring they are successful with the product. Key responsibilities include delivering technical presentations and product demos to prospects and customers, owning technical engagements to help close high-velocity opportunities, and providing advanced competitive knowledge and technical credibility. You will proactively communicate with customers and internal teams to create a feedback loop on products and competitive landscape, driving product conversations based on customer needs and problems identified during interactions.
Additionally, you will contribute to enablement efforts by enhancing documentation, writing blog posts, recording videos, and creating knowledge base articles. You will work with an international team in a remote-first environment, requiring strong written and oral communication skills to articulate Grafana's value proposition and technical advantages.
The ideal candidate has 5+ years of technical pre-sales experience, ideally with open-source technologies or in the metrics/monitoring space. You should thrive on solving technical challenges, demonstrate strong judgment and collaboration skills, and be comfortable with varied and complex job duties typical of a high-growth startup.
