Nearmap is seeking an experienced Solutions Engineer to serve as a trusted technical advisor helping customers maximize value from Nearmap's Imagery, 3D, and AI products. You will work closely with Sales to lead technical engagements across the full customer lifecycle—from pre-sales discovery and solution design through post-sale adoption and expansion.
In this role, you will lead strategic discovery engagements to understand customer workflows, data ecosystems, and business challenges. You'll act as a trusted advisor, shaping client strategy and solution architecture while building executive-level relationships across pre-sales, implementation, and post-sales phases. You will design and deliver tailored, scenario-based demonstrations that showcase how Nearmap's products solve real customer problems, and identify upsell and expansion opportunities by advising customers on API, offline product, and custom application strategies.
You will lead integration and onboarding for new customers, providing hands-on technical support and best-practice guidance. As a technical liaison to Product and Engineering, you'll surface customer feedback, bugs, and feature gaps, and partner with Sales Enablement on training programs. You'll coordinate with Survey Operations to scope and deliver custom aerial flights and offline products, and represent Nearmap as a thought leader through content, webinars, and industry events while mentoring junior Solutions Engineers.
The ideal candidate is an outgoing, people-first professional who genuinely enjoys presenting and demonstrating, and isn't afraid to lead difficult conversations with technical engineers and C-suite executives alike. You should be self-driven, proactive, and comfortable working autonomously in a fast-paced environment with strong organizational skills and creative problem-solving abilities.
