Kernel is building open-source browser infrastructure for AI agents, handling autoscaling, observability, and web interaction complexity so developers can focus on agent behavior. As Solutions Engineer, you'll own the technical sales motion end-to-end: discovery, solution architecture, demos, and customer production deployment. You'll work closely with founders on strategic deals, serve as the primary technical contact for key accounts, and ensure smooth transitions from evaluation to production.
Key responsibilities include architecting customers' production systems for CUA agents, browser automations, and web agents; debugging integration issues across SDK, MCP servers, and customer code; championing customer requirements internally to influence product roadmap; and contributing technical content like integration guides.
You'll translate between technical and non-technical audiences, create compelling demos, drive complex cross-functional deals from first call to go-live, and help customers navigate novel use cases without established playbooks.
Required: 5+ years in technical customer-facing roles (solutions engineer, sales engineer, solutions architect); strong engineering foundation with code reading/writing ability; track record owning technical sales motions; comfort with ambiguity; experience with AI agents, MCP servers, or LLM workflows.
Preferred: browser automation or agent infrastructure experience (Playwright, CDP, headless browsers); developer infrastructure or API-first company background; enterprise customer deal experience; shipped public work (OSS, demos, tools).
