Cloudflare is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join its Pre-Sales Solutions Engineering organization in Spain. In this hybrid role, you will be a customer-facing technologist responsible for supporting large enterprise accounts and acquiring new enterprise customers through technical expertise and excellent communication.
You will partner closely with the sales team to understand customer requirements and provide comprehensive sales support. Key responsibilities include identifying and mapping customer business problems to Cloudflare solutions, building relationships and identifying technical champions within customer accounts, developing and presenting technical presentations at various organizational levels, and leading proof-of-concept trials and demos for prospects and customers.
You will demonstrate deep expertise of Cloudflare products through creation of professional content including white papers and blog posts, and represent Cloudflare externally at developer, community, technology, cybersecurity, and industry-focused events with thought leadership. The role requires applying in-depth vertical knowledge and domain expertise to advise customers on best practices.
Required qualifications include previous experience as a Solutions Engineer or in a customer-facing technical role with CDN, Security, Networking, or SaaS products. You must have solid communication, written, and presentation skills, with the ability to manage multiple concurrent projects. A Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant work experience is required. The role involves up to 50% travel to meet with prospects and customers, attend conferences, and collaborate with Cloudflare teammates.
Desirable experience includes fundamental understanding of customer network and application architectures, detailed knowledge of hybrid cloud architectures (Azure, AWS, GCP), application and network security expertise, SaaS application environment knowledge, VPN and remote access experience, SIEM and log analytics platform familiarity, and client OS fundamentals. Experience communicating network and security transformation messages to senior executives and C-level stakeholders is also valued.
