Carta is seeking a Solutions Engineer to join the EU Investors team in London. You will work with venture capital, private equity, and private credit funds to identify and implement tailored solutions using Carta's platform for fund administration, portfolio management, investor relations, and digital KYC.
In this role, you will partner closely with the Go-To-Market and Fund Administration teams to serve as a technical expert during sales cycles. You'll accompany sales calls to understand customer pain points, scope solutions, and communicate business impact to decision-makers. Your responsibilities include leading technical product demos, providing fund accounting and financial expertise, and advising prospects on best practices for fund operations.
You will work with both new venture funds navigating formation and established fund managers seeking to optimize operations. You'll interface with prospects and strategic partners pre-sales, scope requirements, and build confidence in Carta's offerings. Your technical knowledge will inform the product roadmap through deep customer conversations, and you'll provide coaching to the Go-To-Market team as needed.
The ideal candidate is a qualified accountant with 7+ years of experience in accounting, corporate finance, or related fields. You must have in-depth understanding of fund structures (PE, VC, or private credit) and strong knowledge of back-office fund operations and administration. Proven stakeholder and client relationship management skills, combined with excellent communication—particularly with finance and legal executives—are essential. Experience in SaaS customer-facing roles, fund accounting, or European alternative funds regulations is a plus.
