Notion is hiring a Solutions Consultant Manager to lead a regional sales team in Japan. You'll own full commercial performance—new logo ARR, expansion, and renewals—while managing a team of Solutions Consultants focused on a builder-motion GTM approach.
Key responsibilities include coaching SCs on workflow diagnosis, live product builds, and value narratives; owning team commercial outcomes and execution quality; participating in regional operating cadence (pipeline reviews, deal support, forecast calls); hiring and certifying new SCs; partnering with BDR and Outcomes leadership on pipeline strategy and adoption hand-offs; and representing the team in leadership forums.
You'll need a track record as a quota-carrying B2B seller with experience in workflow design, live demos, or technical sales. Frontline sales management experience is essential—you should have built operating cadences, run performance management, and developed talent. Strong coaching ability is critical: you can watch a demo or deal review and identify specifically what to change and why. You'll read pipeline health, identify risk early, and drive urgency without micromanaging.
Native or bilingual Japanese fluency and business-level English proficiency (speaking, listening, reading) are required, including ability to support global team communication. Nice-to-haves include experience in consumption/usage-based businesses where adoption signals matter, building high-performing regional teams from early stage, and shared account ownership models.
You don't need deep AI expertise, but intellectual curiosity about AI trends and willingness to adopt AI tools to work smarter are expected. Notion is a collaborative AI workspace where millions of individuals, teams, and companies run their work. The company values craft, building things that last, and the belief that great work remains fundamentally human.
