As a Solutions Consultant at Xero, you will serve as a trusted technical advisor and strategic partner to accounting practice partners. Working alongside the sales team, you will translate complex partner requirements into scalable workflow strategies, identify potential risks early, and help client firms maximize long-term value from the Xero platform.
You will lead technical discovery and solution scoping in partnership with Account Executives, design and deliver custom product demonstrations tailored to specific firm workflow challenges, and guide new practice partners through cloud implementation, workflow mapping, and early adoption upskilling. During sales cycles, you will provide expert technical support to overcome operational roadblocks and objections.
You will join a collaborative team of five reporting to the Partner Consulting Manager. The team bridges account executives, product engineering, and external practice partners, sharing market insights internally to shape product features while co-designing tailored technical strategies for client growth.
The role is based in Brisbane (or Sydney) with a flexible hybrid model. Modern office facilities are available for collaborative workshops and team connection, with flexible work-from-home options.
Required qualifications include solid operational experience within an accounting or bookkeeping practice environment, proven success in consultative problem-solving or pre-sales technical solution design in complex environments, strong ability to communicate complex concepts simply and deliver engaging demonstrations to diverse audiences, deep familiarity with cloud-based accounting platforms and practice workflow software ecosystems, practical experience with modern productivity technologies including AI tools, and highly developed interpersonal skills with confidence to navigate ambiguity and partner effectively across internal and external teams.
