Snowflake is seeking a Solution Engineer for the UK market to solve complex customer data challenges and drive technical wins in the sales cycle. In this role, you will partner directly with account sales teams and channel partners to understand customer needs, strategize evaluation support, and position Snowflake as the solution of choice.
You will present Snowflake's technology and vision to executives and technical teams at prospects and customers. Working hands-on throughout the sales cycle—from initial demo through proof of concept to design and implementation—you'll demonstrate and communicate the value of Snowflake technology. A key responsibility is creating and developing technical champions within accounts to drive deals and achieve technical wins.
You'll stay at the cutting edge of Snowflake's evolving technology landscape, confidently presenting roadmap features and functionality. You'll maintain deep understanding of competitive and complementary technologies, positioning Snowflake effectively in the market. Collaboration is central: you'll work closely with other sales engineers, product management, engineering, and marketing to continuously improve products and go-to-market strategies.
Additional responsibilities include representing Snowflake at industry and customer events, working with ecosystem and implementation partners on joint architectures and account strategies, and proactively contributing to account and territory planning.
Required experience includes solution engineering or solution architecture in a SaaS environment, or relevant industry experience in analytics, data science, or data engineering. You must have outstanding presentation skills for both technical and executive audiences, understanding of data architecture and cloud technology, hands-on SQL experience, and the ability to solve customer-specific business problems. Strong customer-facing communication skills—written and verbal—are essential.
Preferred qualifications include experience in Travel or CPG/Retail sectors, Python proficiency, hands-on experience with modern data technologies (dbt, Spark, containers, DevOps tooling, orchestration, Git), and familiarity with AI, data science, and machine learning technologies.
