Datacor is the leading provider of ERP, CRM, Asset Tracking, Simulation, and Formulation software solutions for the process manufacturing industry. The company helps customers in chemicals, pharmaceuticals, food & beverage, and related sectors optimize operations, reduce costs, and improve safety through intuitive, data-driven software platforms.
You will join the Solution Engineering team as a customer-facing technical sales specialist, partnering directly with Account Executives to win new business. This is a deal-critical role requiring you to own the technical discovery and demonstration process from initial conversations through contract signature.
Key responsibilities include:
• Conduct structured discovery calls and onsite sessions to uncover business process requirements across Supply Chain/Operations, R&D/Product Development, Regulatory/Quality, Sales/Customer Service, and Finance/Accounting functions.
• Design and deliver tailored, discovery-led software demonstrations of the Datacor ERP platform and relevant add-ons (WMS, MES, CRM, AI Automation Tools) that directly address prospect pain points and business objectives.
• Travel onsite to prospect facilities (up to 50% of the time across the US and Canada) to lead in-person discovery sessions and executive-level demonstrations, reading stakeholder needs in real time and building credibility with operations, finance, and IT leadership.
• Manage a full pipeline of active sales opportunities, moving deals forward through technical validation and business case development.
• Contribute to and refine the Solution Engineering team's repeatable frameworks for discovery documentation, demo scoring, and Statement of Work (SOW) handoff to implementation teams.
You will work within an established, growing Solution Engineering function that emphasizes high-quality discovery practices and structured deal progression. Success requires strong communication skills, deep product knowledge, ability to translate technical capabilities into business value, and comfort with frequent travel and in-person customer engagement.
