Trek Health is a financial intelligence platform for healthcare providers that transforms price transparency data into measurable revenue outcomes. The company helps finance, managed care, and payer relations teams benchmark performance, identify underpayments, and approach negotiations with data-driven strategies. As the third Solution Engineer on a growing team, you'll be the technical owner and trusted advisor for Trek's expanding portfolio of provider clients. You'll guide healthcare organizations through complex price transparency data and managed care contracts, helping them develop negotiating leverage with payers. Key responsibilities include owning the technical track of client onboarding in partnership with Customer Success, translating complex healthcare pricing and contracting questions into defensible analyses, and building custom reports using Trek's price transparency dataset. You'll use AI coding tools (Cursor, Claude) to build internal tooling that accelerates reporting workflows and client work. You'll handle complex support escalations at the intersection of data, product, and client workflow, and collaborate closely with Product and Engineering to shape the roadmap based on field insights. Required qualifications: 3+ years in a technical, client-facing role (solutions engineering, implementation, healthcare consulting, customer-facing analytics); healthcare domain experience with claims data and/or revenue cycle data from provider or payer perspective; working knowledge of payer-provider contracting including managed care contracts and rate negotiations; strong SQL for writing and debugging queries against large datasets; strong Excel with pivots, advanced formulas, and client-ready output; hands-on experience with AI tools. Preferred: direct experience designing or analyzing managed care contracts, building internal tools/dashboards/BI work (Looker, Sigma, Mode), familiarity with price transparency datasets, Python or lightweight scripting beyond SQL. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys combining technical depth with client-facing problem-solving, wants to turn complex data into real customer outcomes, and is excited to build with AI tools in a fast-paced, ambiguous environment.
