As a QA Engineer, you will ensure platform quality by collaborating closely with Engineering and Product teams to deliver a seamless, bug-free experience for builders using Higharc's modern web-based CAD application.
Key responsibilities include:
- Apply mid to expert-level drafting and homebuilding domain knowledge to improve platform quality
- Manually test new features, regression scenarios, and complex user flows in the CAD platform
- Write, maintain, and execute test cases based on product specifications and user stories
- Collaborate with developers and product managers to understand technical implementations and identify edge cases before features reach end users
- Log bugs using Linear issue tracking system
- Validate fixes and contribute to QA sign-off for releases
- Work with automated test output and identify gaps in test coverage for automation engineers
- Participate in release QA coordination
You bring mid to expert-level drafting expertise with strong BIM modeling/CAD experience (Revit, AutoCAD, or similar). You have 3+ years of production homebuilding experience, including option management and master plan set documentation. You're comfortable testing features involving real-time collaboration, 3D rendering, and document generation. You communicate clearly about software behavior, stay organized in fast-paced environments, and hold a high bar for quality.
A plus: understanding of software development and testing processes, agile team experience, familiarity with Linear and Qase, basic browser developer tools knowledge, and understanding of test automation concepts.
