Anduril Industries is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to join the Air & Missile Defense Radar team. This role bridges tactical software development and DevSecOps infrastructure, focusing on building secure automation systems that power radar tracking deployments in DoD and intelligence community environments.
You will design and implement CI/CD pipelines enabling automated build, test, and deployment of radar tracking software across multiple classified enclaves. Working closely with tactical software engineers, you'll identify workflow bottlenecks and architect durable solutions that accelerate development velocity while maintaining stringent security compliance.
Key responsibilities include: architecting Infrastructure-as-Code frameworks (Terraform, Ansible) to provision development, test, and production environments meeting DISA STIG and NIST 800-53 standards; automating security compliance workflows including STIG scanning, vulnerability assessment, and continuous monitoring; developing containerization and orchestration solutions (Docker, Kubernetes) hardened for classified networks; creating monitoring and logging infrastructure for security operations and incident response; and partnering with system administrators and security personnel to ensure deployed systems meet customer requirements.
Required: 5+ years of software engineering experience with a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related field; strong hands-on CI/CD expertise (GitLab CI, Jenkins, GitHub Actions); proficiency in Python and C++; understanding of software engineering fundamentals; Infrastructure-as-Code experience; containerization and orchestration knowledge; Linux system administration and scripting skills; ability to obtain and maintain Top Secret SCI clearance.
Desired qualifications include experience in classified DoD/IC environments, ATO processes, STIG implementation, Python package development, SCAP-compliant scanning tools, secure software supply chain practices, zero-trust architectures, GitOps workflows, observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, Splunk), PKI and secrets management, air-gapped deployments, DoD security frameworks, and relevant certifications (Security+).
