Figma is seeking an experienced Software Engineer to join the Production Engineering team, which owns end-to-end reliability, durability, scalability, and performance across Figma's products and services. This role is critical to enabling rapid feature delivery, supporting user base growth, and fostering innovation across infrastructure and product teams.
You will work closely with engineering teams to define standard methodologies and goals around reliability, durability, scalability, and performance. Key responsibilities include addressing operational challenges through improved telemetry and tool/service development, debugging production issues across the stack, participating in design and production reviews for new features and infrastructure components, planning infrastructure growth, and operating AWS infrastructure.
The ideal candidate is a generalist with strong Computer Science fundamentals and proven experience building and running complex large-scale services. You should have 5+ years operating infrastructure components and services at scale, with demonstrated expertise in distributed systems. Experience managing infrastructure in AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud is required. You must show unwavering commitment to operational security and best practices, with a track record of diagnosing problems in complex systems.
