Airtable is a no-code platform used by over 500,000 organizations, including 80% of the Fortune 100, to transform how work gets done. As a Software Engineer on the Product Backend team, you'll work on full-stack features with a primary focus on backend development, collaborating with product managers, designers, and data scientists to build innovative capabilities.
You'll have the opportunity to join one of two specialized teams:
**Admin & Governance Team**: Focuses on enterprise-ready features including the Admin Panel, SSO, audit systems, and User Groups. This team accelerates organizational value for large customers through governance and security controls.
**Omni Capability & Quality Team**: Brings AI capabilities directly to Airtable users, helping them search, navigate, and operate their bases with ease. This team also builds foundational AI platform infrastructure for other engineering teams.
In this role, you will spec and build product features that are beautiful, consistent, and fast. You'll work across the full stack—AWS, Node.js, SQL, React, HTML, and CSS—with emphasis on backend feature development. You'll partner with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and unlock customer potential. You'll also learn from a talented group of engineers with diverse backgrounds.
The role is based in either the San Francisco Bay Area (Embarcadero office) or New York City (Soho office), with a hybrid model requiring in-office presence approximately 2-3 times per week for team collaboration.
