Salary: USD 142,000 - 178,000 / annual
Addepar is a global data and AI platform serving investment professionals, managing nearly $9 trillion in assets across 1,400+ firms in 60 countries. The Platform Integration team builds client onboarding solutions that enable firms to bring financial data onto Addepar's systems for reporting, analysis, and unified portfolio management.
In this backend engineering role, you'll work with a team to build and maintain data systems that reliably process large volumes of client financial data. Key responsibilities include identifying and resolving scale bottlenecks as data volumes grow, collaborating cross-functionally with Product and Client Solutions teams to deliver holistic onboarding solutions, and communicating technical direction clearly with teammates.
You'll focus on data systems engineering, working through performance and scale challenges to optimize pipelines and workflows. The role emphasizes quality, user experience, and ensuring internal teams experience low friction and high scalability when onboarding clients' financial data.
Required qualifications: backend software engineering experience, preferably with Python and/or Java and relational databases; strong ownership mentality and communication skills; comfort working through data scale and performance issues. Preferred: experience with PySpark or similar data processing frameworks, and familiarity with Databricks and/or AWS.
