The Platform team is responsible for all backend services including payments, analytics, subscriptions, text-to-speech engines, and external APIs. As a Software Engineer on this team, you'll design, develop, and maintain robust APIs that power Speechify's products at scale. Key responsibilities include building and optimizing the public TTS API, internal APIs (Payment, Subscription, Auth, Consumption Tracking), and collaborating with cross-functional teams to align backend architecture with product strategy. You'll also work on B2B solutions, focusing on customization and integration for enterprise clients.
The ideal candidate has proven backend development experience with TypeScript/Node.js (required), direct experience with GCP, and knowledge of AWS, Azure, or other cloud providers. Preferred qualifications include Docker containerization and Kubernetes deployment experience. You should be efficient at ideation and implementation, prioritizing tasks by urgency and impact.
