Salary: USD 140,000 - 200,000 / annual
Speechify is a text-to-speech platform used by over 50 million people to convert PDFs, books, Google Docs, articles, and websites into audio. With ~200 employees globally in a fully distributed setting, Speechify is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to support rapid growth of its iOS app (currently #18 in App Store productivity category) and develop new features aligned with the company's mission to remove reading as a barrier to learning.
In this role, you will actively ship production code for the iOS app, lead key engineering and product decisions, work within a dedicated product team, and participate in roadmap discussions. You'll maintain and enhance the app's complex architecture while collaborating with designers and internal teams to shape product direction. The ideal candidate has experience scaling products to large user bases, a track record of shipping from inception through traction, and strong product thinking. You should be customer-obsessed, work at high velocity, and know how to balance speed with thoughtful technical decisions.
Required technical skills include Swift, SwiftUI, multithreading, CI/CD infrastructure, Fastlane, SOLID principles, and Git. The role emphasizes work ethic, solid communication, and an obsession with winning in a flat organization where technical excellence and consistent delivery create leadership opportunities.
