Speechify is a text-to-speech platform used by over 50 million people to convert PDFs, books, Google Docs, news articles, and websites into audio. With ~200 employees distributed globally and no physical office, Speechify is hiring a Senior iOS Engineer to support rapid growth of its iOS app, currently ranked #18 in the App Store's productivity category.
In this role, you will lead key engineering and product decisions for the iOS platform, actively ship production code, and work within a dedicated product team to shape the roadmap. You'll maintain and enhance the complex app architecture while participating in strategic product discussions. This is ideal for someone who thinks strategically, thrives in fast-paced environments, and is passionate about making product decisions that delight users.
You should have a proven track record shipping products that scaled to large user bases, from inception through traction. You'll need strong technical expertise in Swift and SwiftUI, multithreading, CI/CD infrastructure, Fastlane, SOLID principles, and Git workflows. Beyond technical skills, the ideal candidate demonstrates customer obsession, product thinking, speed of execution, and the ability to focus in a high-growth, asynchronous remote environment.
