Gumloop is an AI infrastructure platform enabling enterprises to build, deploy, and manage AI agents securely within their own cloud environments. The company provides infrastructure that allows teams to orchestrate agents, manage data access, select AI models, and host solutions on-premise. Customers include Gusto, Ramp, Shopify, Samsara, Instacart, and Opendoor. The company has raised over $70M from top-tier investors including Benchmark, First Round Capital, Y Combinator, and Nexus Ventures.
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will own and scale the systems powering Gumloop's platform. This is a high-ownership role reporting to the founders, focused on architecting large-scale infrastructure projects independently. Key responsibilities include designing and implementing infrastructure for agent orchestration, agent sandboxing, and hosted MCP services; building and maintaining Kubernetes clusters and CI/CD pipelines on GCP; ensuring high availability, security, observability, and performance; defining the technical roadmap; and engaging directly with customers to inform infrastructure priorities.
You will work hands-on with Kubernetes, Docker, Redis, GCP, Terraform, Prometheus, and CI/CD systems. The role requires strong software engineering fundamentals, the ability to own projects from architecture through production, and comfort in a small, fast-moving team where autonomy and speed are expected. You'll communicate directly with founders and customers, balancing technical depth with business impact.
Ideal candidates have experience scaling infrastructure at high-growth startups, familiarity with AI/ML infrastructure and model serving, and exposure to agent orchestration, sandboxing, or distributed systems. The company values ownership, autonomy, and rapid execution.
