Salary: CAD 142,538 - 235,736 / annual
Braze is seeking a Software Engineer II to join the SMS and RCS Channels team, responsible for building and scaling communication channels within the Braze customer engagement platform. The team owns the full lifecycle of SMS and RCS messaging—from composition and sending to message responses and analytics—as well as supporting services for Chat messaging, including click tracking and link shortening infrastructure.
In this role, you will ship high-value fullstack features quickly while driving initiatives from concept to delivery. You'll take ownership of key technical areas, solve open-ended problems in a distributed systems environment, and help maintain platform reliability as traffic scales. The position requires collaboration across teams and functions, clear communication with peers and leadership, and a continuous learning mindset.
You bring 5+ years of full-stack development experience with demonstrated expertise building distributed systems at scale. You have a solid understanding of distributed systems, data structures, and algorithms. You're a self-starter with strong communication and organizational skills, comfortable working in team environments and taking on ambiguous technical challenges.
Bonus experience includes familiarity with Ruby, Rails, MongoDB, PostgreSQL, Redis, Sidekiq, React, TypeScript, or agile development processes.
