Refyne is seeking a Software Engineer II to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain high-quality backend services and RESTful APIs. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams including front-end, product, and design teams to deliver robust solutions. The role involves contributing to both low-level and high-level design discussions and documentation, ensuring technical excellence across the platform.
Key responsibilities include developing and managing database schemas using both SQL (PostgreSQL, MySQL) and NoSQL (MongoDB, DynamoDB) technologies while ensuring data integrity and performance. You will implement robust user authentication and authorization mechanisms such as JWT and Firebase Auth, and proactively identify and resolve issues through effective error handling and monitoring strategies.
You will write clean, efficient, and well-documented code following best practices and design patterns, participate in CI/CD processes, and leverage AWS cloud services for deployment and management. Active participation in code reviews and contribution to a culture of continuous improvement are expected.
Required qualifications include 2-4 years of professional backend development experience with strong proficiency in Node.js, NestJS, JavaScript, TypeScript, and Python. You should have solid understanding of Data Structures & Algorithms, Design Patterns, and RESTful API design. Experience with both SQL and NoSQL databases, asynchronous programming concepts (async/await, Promises, event loop), and cloud technologies (AWS preferred) is essential. Familiarity with CI/CD concepts and tools, error handling, debugging, and application monitoring is required. Strong problem-solving, analytical, communication, and collaboration skills are important, along with a passion for working in a high-paced startup environment and a continuous learning mindset.
