Apple's Information Systems and Technology (IS&T) organization is seeking a Senior Full Stack Software Engineer to join the Retail and Marcom Engineering team, which builds and operates systems connecting Apple's products with customers across online and physical stores. The Digital Asset Management (DAM) system serves as the central repository for all in-progress and completed marketing assets used across Apple's global marketing operations.
In this role, you will develop and maintain backend web applications and APIs that enable modern services built on top of existing and new DAM capabilities, including asset syndication, global distribution, and delivery pipelines. You'll work on highly scalable, highly available enterprise systems that support billions of transactions and serve Apple's creative and technical teams worldwide.
Key responsibilities include leading other developers in a fast-paced environment with aggressive timelines, collaborating across multiple teams to enable a modern services stack, working with both creative and technical stakeholders, and understanding end-to-end business processes in asset management to implement solutions that streamline content workflows.
Required qualifications: 4+ years of professional software development experience designing and developing complex, highly available, scalable enterprise APIs using Java/J2EE; 2+ years designing large-scale enterprise APIs for Digital Asset Management systems; Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent; deep understanding of web technologies (XML, HTML5, CSS, JavaScript) and RESTful API development.
Preferred qualifications include DAM principles expertise, multi-caching solutions for real-time content delivery, AWS/Cloud experience, unit testing and QA automation, Git proficiency, CI/CD tools (Jenkins, Maven, Docker, Kubernetes), modern JavaScript frameworks (React/Vue/Angular), and SQL/NoSQL database design for scalable schemas.
This is a critical role supporting Apple's global marketing technology infrastructure at massive scale.
