Plaid is seeking a Full Stack Software Engineer to design and build the systems and experiences that power how millions of people connect to their finances. You will work across the stack with a majority backend focus (60-70%) developing scalable APIs and services, while also building intuitive frontend experiences (30-40%) using modern JavaScript frameworks.
In this role, you will:
- Design, develop, and maintain both frontend and backend components that serve millions of users
- Build reliable, secure, and performant APIs and microservices using languages like Python, Java, Go, or Node.js
- Create delightful user experiences with HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks
- Collaborate closely with product managers, designers, and engineers to define and ship features that meet customer needs
- Write clean, maintainable code with comprehensive automated tests
- Take ownership of projects early, contribute to architectural decisions, and see your work reach millions of users
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues while maintaining high code quality standards
You should have 2-4 years of full-stack development experience, working knowledge of relational databases like MySQL, experience with microservices and API design, and excellent coding and testing skills. The ideal candidate has high ownership mentality, customer empathy, and enjoys solving problems without precedent.
