Salary: USD 120,000 - 170,000 / annual
Farsight AI is building an agentic AI platform for financial services that automates complex workflows for investment banks and private equity firms. The company's flagship product is a native Office Add-in integrated into PowerPoint, Excel, and Word, bringing AI capabilities directly into bankers' existing workflows without requiring them to change their tools.
As a Software Engineer, you will design and implement complete technical systems that translate business needs and customer feedback into production code. You'll work on complex challenges including agentic workflows, streaming outputs, non-deterministic systems, LLM orchestration, and enterprise-grade accuracy requirements. Your scope will span longer-term architectural projects to critical bug fixes, all essential to the company's success. You'll be expected to develop clean, efficient, and maintainable code while reasoning about failure modes, edge cases, and scalability before implementation.
The ideal candidate has 2+ years of non-internship software engineering experience with proven production AI and LLM experience—specifically, shipping LLM-powered features to real users, understanding how models fail in production, and building reliable systems around non-deterministic outputs. You should be proficient in Python and cloud-based infrastructure (AWS), comfortable making architectural decisions with incomplete information, and able to adapt when assumptions prove wrong.
Bonus qualifications include prior experience at early-stage startups or big tech companies, familiarity with system design patterns and test-driven development, and direct experience gathering and incorporating customer feedback.
Farsight is based entirely in Manhattan and operates on a hybrid schedule: in-person 4 days per week with Fridays remote. The team includes top-tier talent from Hugging Face, AWS, JPMorgan, Evercore, General Atlantic, and other leading organizations.
