As an SDET II, you will own significant portions of the test infrastructure and drive quality strategy across the engineering organization. You'll design testing approaches for complex features, mentor junior SDET engineers, and make architectural decisions that shape how the company approaches automation at scale.
Key responsibilities include: architecting and implementing test frameworks and infrastructure with thoughtful design patterns and abstractions; designing comprehensive testing strategies for new features and platform capabilities; integrating testing earlier in the development lifecycle through cross-team collaboration; refactoring and optimizing existing test suites for maintainability and performance; improving CI/CD pipeline performance and test execution times; building and managing AWS-based test environments; developing custom tooling and reporting to surface quality insights; and mentoring SDET I engineers while conducting technical code reviews.
Required expertise includes extensive Playwright experience with deep knowledge of fixtures architecture, object-oriented test framework design using layered patterns (PCOM/POM), API testing and orchestration (REST/GraphQL integrated with UI workflows), advanced TypeScript including generics and decorators, deep understanding of asynchronous programming and concurrency, strong software design principles including domain-driven design and patterns, hands-on AWS experience (EC2, CloudWatch), Docker containerization, CI/CD debugging and optimization, expert-level Git and GitHub workflows, and advanced reporting tools like Allure and Playwright HTML reports.
